Every band has a starting point. Ours just happened to be during a global lockdown. Recorded in the illustrious Tin Ghetto Studio, these Eight tracks of the slow and heavy variety represent the foundation of DOA.

DOA2 followed the mantra of if it ain’t don’t fix it. Just as slow, low and fuzzy as The Great Journey. Hell on Earth was fired in a foundry of god made cannabis and man made Russian vodka. 10 tales of zombie plagues, Lovecraftian deities, Pinconning’s finest cannabis and Japanese kaiju lizards. Enjoy bitches.

After a year and a half of releasing various demos, EPs, singles and LPs, Murder of Crows marked a step away from all things Doom/Sludge and lean into our hard rock influences for an EP. A journey to scratch a hard rock itch and a defining step towards shaping the overall DOA sound.

The old saying for every closed door there is an open window. Halloween ‘23 marks a new chapter. Blood Moon Rising is an album that stamps the mark on a summer of change. 15 tracks that truly open up the flood gates of musical influence. A dash of Clutch, a dabble of High on Fire, a teaspoon full of Pantera, a pinch of Drowning Pool. A mixture of stoner, doom, groove and hard rock that we call Power Slop.

The Wintertime Blues is more healing session than anything else. DOA FACT: Frontman Joshua Stanard works full time as a paramedic serving Mid Michigan. Unfortunately, this employment comes with hardship and mental anguish in the form of losing a patient. Sometimes those patient’s are closer than other and the effective of such an encounter leaves one reeling with heartbreak, anger, sadness and confusion. Music can be the best form of healing or so I’ve been told.
